I moved to Austin with my family when I was a teenager and immediately fell in love with the city. The warm culture (and weather), the incredibly creative community...it didn't take me long at all to know I had found my home.

When I decided to design my first jewelry collection in 2002, I took my designs door to door down the streets of Austin, with my newborn son in a Baby Bjorn. I sold out on the first day. I still laugh that I'm not sure if they loved my jewelry, or they just felt sorry for me! So many people assumed I would fail because I wasn't in New York or LA, but this caring, supportive community gave me the wings to fly. And I will always be grateful for that.

Being a rare fashion brand that's founded and headquartered in Austin, I have seen this small Texas town grow into a hotbed for young creatives and fashion designers. It's a passion of mine to grow and foster that creative energy as much as I can, and what a joy it has been to watch this city blossom. Austin is my home. It always will be. And if you're in my hometown this week for SXSW, I just might be seeing you around!

xoxo, Kendra

In Austin for SXSW? Check out a few of our favorite spots around town (and maybe we’ll meet you there!)

South Congress

Kendra's favorite historically-Austin area that has quickly become a must-see and is home to our flagship store! Stop by MaΓ±ana for a quick cup of coffee, enjoy brunch at one of our very favorites, Perla's, or browse any of the amazing vintage shops.

Downtown

This is the place for people watching! Grab a booth at Corner Bar, a cocktail at Hangar Lounge, or stroll the Capitol lawn. You'll be in the middle of the fun no matter where you go.

Eastside

The best mix of all of classic-Austin is in the Eastside. It's overflowing with character and provides Instagram-ready moments around every turn. You'll find all our favorite up-and-coming spots on Cesar Chavez, the best tacos at El Chilito, and the cutest coffee shops around.
