Pop Culture Costumes We Love

Halloween is our favorite holiday here at Kendra Scott. We love the opportunity to use our creativity and get into character. In fact, our home office’s costume contest is one of the biggest events of the year – oh, and all the sweets are nice too!

That being said, we know that planning your Halloween costume can quickly go from a fun process to a last minute chore. There’s no need to stress this year because we’ve got inspiration in the form of pop culture costume ideas and the perfect Halloween jewelry to go with them.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

You can’t go wrong with a classic! Breakfast at Tiffany’s is our bad weather movie – there’s nothing more comforting than curling up with our own danish and watching Holly’s story unfold.

We love the idea of dressing up as Holly Golightly, because it’s a relatively easy and recognizable costume. All you need is a black dress and some luxurious looking accessories. We recommend something from our Bridal Collection, like our Becky Drop Earrings and Christianne Collar Necklace. For the day, they’re Halloween jewelry, but we know you’ll find another occasion to wear these sparkling pieces. Layer in some pearls, put your hair in a bun, and you’re ready for wherever the night takes you!

Madonna of The ‘80s

We’ve got one more costume inspired by a power pop princess. Madonna will always be relevant, and her grungy look from the ‘80s is one of our favorites.

To get into the groove (sorry, we had to!), start with all of the black clothing in your closet. Don’t be afraid to layer – leggings under skirts are encouraged. Next, finish your look with some Halloween jewelry. More is more when it comes to Madonna, and that definitely applies to accessorizing. Statement earrings and bracelet stacks are the way to go – we love our Oster Statement Earrings and Natalia Bangle Set!

Twiggy in the ‘60s

There are few occasions that call for go-go boots, and when one comes your way, you don’t pass it up! Take a note from one of our fave cultural icons, Twiggy, and pair a colorful slip dress with some knee-highs. Throw on some statement earrings, and you’ve got a London ‘60s Mod look that’ll have you wishing it was contemporary couture.
