NAMI x Kendra Scott Partnership
“Almost every family in America faces a mental health challenge at some point, and my family is no exception. We must remove the stigma and continue to educate ourselves so that we see the signs when someone is struggling and are empowered to offer support. And we can and will save lives by doing so.” – Kendra Scott
This month, Kendra Scott is continuing our commitment to raising awareness about mental health so that all women and children can live their brightest, healthiest, and most empowered lives.
Recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, this May we’re proud to introduce our second national partner, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), an organization whose primary focus will be on supporting families and youth through their mental health journeys. Mental health is fundamental to the health and wellbeing of parents and caregivers of youth, and NAMI and Kendra Scott will be giving back so that parents and caregivers can receive the help and hope they need to best care for themselves and their families.
The nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, National Alliance on Mental Illness is dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. What began as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table has since blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. Beginning in 1979, NAMI has grown to a nationwide alliance of more than 600 local Affiliates and 48 State Organizations who work within local communities to raise awareness and provide support and education regarding mental illness.
Together, Kendra Scott and NAMI will aim to empower families and youth by building information and navigation resources for parents, caregivers, youth, and young adults launching in July 2021. These tools are meant to help families navigate their recovery journeys, through crisis and through wellness, including often under-shared resources around residential treatment.
