How to Make a Mask Chain
Masks are the accessory of the moment, and now we’re combining them with the trend of the moment: chains! Face mask straps not only free up your hands, but also minimize the chance of getting your mask dirty by setting it on a surface. And of course, we love that they’re an easy way to a little personal style and KS sparkle to any outfit!
You can use a chain from jewelry you already own, or use this as the perfect excuse to get that necklace you’ve had your eye on. Psst… Not into DIY? We’re also launching custom KS face mask straps in November!
Watch the video above and follow our step by step instructions on how to make your own ace mask strap using our new Davis Multi Strand Necklace. Don’t have the Davis Multi Strand yet? No worries, you can use any 32” long strand necklace instead. Scroll all the way down to shop more options.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN MASK CHAIN
Step 1
Unclasp the longest chain in the Davis Multi Strand Necklace.
Step 2
Thread the chain through the ear straps of your mask and clasp the chain together.
Step 3
Even out the chain and center the clasp in the back. You can wear your mask short, with the chain doubled, or can wear it long with the chain undoubled. Done!
Pro tip: You can also use our Huggie Hoop Earrings as a mask chain converter with any Kendra Scott necklace that has a clasp and an extended chain. This is great if you want to use a longer chain without looping it through the mask straps!
