How to Host the Best Friendsgiving

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, and who doesn’t love a holiday that’s all about eating? There’s a good chance you’re heading home for the holidays, but before you do, why not get together with your friends for your own celebration of gratitude? Whether you’re hosting, co-hosting, or just want to be the MVG (most valuable guest), we’re here to share our tips for having your best Friendsgiving yet.

Stock. The. Bar!

This is rule #1 for a reason. Depending on your party size, it may be best to BYOB or ball out with a case of Trader Joe’s finest (and most affordable) wines. We also love a low effort cocktail – like white wine & Lemon Elderflower Soda or Tito’s Vodka and Sparkling Cranberry Soda.

Friendsgiving-Ideas

Our TJ’s picks: Wish Flower, TJ’s Reserve North Coast Brut Sparkling Wine, Albada Viñas Viejas Garnacha, Les Portes de Bordeaux Rosé.

Fill the Table...With Finished Goods.

Why cook when you can create the illusion of cooking instead? We’re taking some of our favorite seasonal TJ’s treats and creating a spread they’ll think we’ve been slaving over for hours. All that’s left to do is set the table.

Friendsgiving-Food

Our TJ’s picks: A Flock of Milk Chocolate Turkeys, Turkey and Stuff Kettle Chips, Cranberry Chevre, Brie Cheese, Pumpkin Pie, Holiday Herb Rolls, and Organic Crackers

Bring Out The Board Games

Nothing loosens a group up quite like some cut-throat competition. Pour a glass of something and cozy up around the coffee table with whatever games you’ve got on your shelves. Our favorites? Codenames, Midnight Taboo, and Monopoly.
