Nurses and teachers are critical to our communities. They are our advocates and our friends, and help us become the best versions of ourselves that we can. Thanks to your purchases of our Literacy Charm, in April we distributed 2,000 books through First Book for teachers to provide underserved children the resources they need at home during the COVID-19 crisis.
We’re honored to provide a grant to Literacy First, who provides low-income schools with highly trained tutors. This grant will help strategically grow their program in more school districts and support leadership stipends for second year tutors from Americorps.
In April, we hosted virtual Kendra Gives Back events for the Texas PTA, raising funds to help make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

All across the country, our team has been surprising and delighting healthcare professionals with yellow boxes – including 350+ workers at Dell Children's Medical Center and Baylor Scott & White here in Austin.
In partnership with women in Austin, Lubbock, New York City, and New Orleans, we've been able to distribute 3,500+ hand sewn masks made out of our bandanas to help support frontline workers across the country.
Through our Kendra Cares program, we serve 7,500+ patients and caregivers (including nurses!) in 30+ hospitals annually, giving them a break from their everyday by allowing them to design their own piece of customized jewelry at no cost.
