A First Look at Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott with CEO Tom Nolan
In case you missed it, last week marked the official launch of our brand new Men’s Collection, Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott! Designed by Kendra and her sons, this collection has been a celebration of all things that we know and love about Kendra Scott, now available to our male customers. To learn more about this collection, we sat down with CEO and CDO (Chief Dad Officer) Tom Nolan for a first look at his launch highlights, Father’s Day gift tips, and the full story of creating a new line for the men of Kendra Scott.
What do you love about this new collection?
I love the authenticity of Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott and how it truly embodies our core pillars of Family, Fashion, and Philanthropy. Kendra created and designed this collection, alongside her sons, on a foundation that these pieces create good and give back. The namesake of Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott actually originated with Kendra’s boys selling lemonade back in 2007, with a sign on their stand that said, “Scott Bros.”, and it’s incredible to see the legacy of the influential men in Kendra’s life, and the role they played in hers to create this collection. I also love that this collection gives back to support our philanthropic pillar by supporting great organizations like the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and other family and youth organizations.
What has been your favorite part of launching Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott?
The entire process is something that I will never forget. It was a lot of hard-working people doing an amazing job to successfully launch our first-ever Men’s Collection, but one of my favorite parts of the process was being in person with Kendra and her sons throughout the design process. I’ve gotten to know Kendra’s sons very well over the years, so watching them grow and be part of this collection in such a genuine way was really special. Also, receiving the positive feedback from our customers and seeing how much they are enjoying this collection is incredible. We put the customer at the center of everything we do, so getting this positive response to Scott Bros. has definitely been one of my favorite parts so far!
Which style is your favorite?
The styles are named after the influential men in Kendra’s life, each bringing a unique part of their personalities to the piece. That said, I can honestly say that I do not have a favorite because each bracelet has something that I like. The styles complement each other to wear multiple at a time but can also stand-alone individually to fit personal styles.
How are you wearing your bracelets?
I consider myself a “down the middle” fashion person and, like a lot of guys, I take minimal risks when it comes to style. Scott Bros. allows me to express myself in a way that I feel comfortable because of the variety of colors and styles within the collection. I go back and forth between stacking the bracelets and wearing them individually. I’m currently wearing three from the collection — the Grey, Kenneth, and Cade. I like the colorways, the textures of the materials, and enjoy how I can wear them for extended periods of time. I can do about anything in these bracelets, whether that’s playing golf, going to the gym, or doing activities with my family, and because of the quality of the product, all the pieces look just as good as when I received the first samples months ago.
What bracelets would you recommend to someone new to jewelry?
One of the many great things about Kendra Scott is that it’s a brand that truly appeals to all styles and generations, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to provide both our male and female customers the experience of Scott Brothers. Before Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott launched, I had only worn a watch and a wedding ring, so I was excited to be able to wear a piece of jewelry from a brand that I have been a part of for the last eight years. I would encourage someone new to jewelry to come into our stores and try the different styles on for themselves — we truly have something to offer everyone!
What bracelets are you gifting for Father’s Day?
I am a father and have a father, so I’m really proud to be able to gift my own dad a few pieces from the Scott Brothers collection this year for Father’s Day. This is the first time in eight years, since I started working at Kendra Scott, that I can give him something from this company. That is not only extremely meaningful to me, but I know he will really enjoy these pieces. This collection provides an opportunity to be unique with gifting, and to give something that gives back to our communities, so we’re excited for our customers to gift Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott to the fathers or father-figures in their lives this year.
What else do you want people to know about Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott?
This is a special collection and we’re already hearing from our customers how much they are enjoying it! When our product launched online and in stores, we also launched @ScottBros.byKendraScott on Instagram. We have had an incredible opportunity to engage with our customers on our @KendraScott social media sites, building meaningful connections over the years, and wanted to extend this same opportunity for our new men’s collection, creating a sense of brotherhood and community for Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott.
