24 Hours in Charleston with Kendra Scott

Bright colors & historical charm! Charleston certainly had us at hello. The city provided the perfect backdrop for our Spring 2019 Collection with Instagrammable vignettes around every corner — #priorities.

We were lucky enough to run around the city for a couple days to snap all our newest pieces. Of course we had to put together a list of our top spots in case you find yourself visiting for an overnight stay or quick weekend getaway.

MORNING

86 Cannon

Start off your day by waking up at 86 Cannon, a quaint three-story home from the 1860s turned dreamy bed and breakfast. Once you’re up it’s time to hop on a bike and explore the city. But first, coffee!

HARBINGER CAFE

Not too far from 86 Cannon sits one of the cutest coffee shops we have ever seen (and trust us, we know a thing or two about coffee living in Austin). The cozy, sun-soaked interior is sure to help start your day on the right foot. We loved everything from the adorable pink and blue coffee cups to the mix-and-match china, and of course, the coffee and treats! We recommend a honey latte and The Grasshopper (aka their version of avocado toast).

BIKE RIDES & SOUTH OF BROAD

It’s time to hit the town! If you’re looking for the most Instagram-worthy spots in Chucktown, we strongly suggest popping over to the South of Broad neighborhood. You’ll want to rent a bike to really soak up the beautiful surroundings. This may have been our favorite part of the shoot: seeing all the different pastel hues that perfectly matched our Spring Collection. We saw beautiful shades of peach, sky blue, teal, and even some KS yellow!

AFTERNOON

LUNCH AT BASIC KITCHEN

You’re sure to have worked up an appetite after all that exploring. Stop for lunch at Basic Kitchen: a fresh farm-to-table (okay, back patio-to-table—they’re literally growing things in a garden outside!) restaurant with a happy, beachy vibe/interior. We loved it so much that we stopped by here 3 times (!) over the course of our shoot.

SUGAR BAKESHOP

If you’re anything like us, then you have a major sweet tooth. Stop by Sugar Bakeshop after lunch and pick up a few cupcakes. You will be knocked over by the scent of warm, freshly baked treats the moment you open the door.

SHOPPING ON KING STREET

You will 100% need a few souvenirs to remember the trip by, right? Some of the best shopping in Charleston can be found on King Street. From local designers to well-known name brands, you can find whatever your heart desires (including a little sparkle, wink wink).

STOP & SMELL THE ROSES

Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.

Okay but really, we know you don’t normally want to spend money on perishable items during a quick trip… but the bouquets made by SYG Floral Designs were to die for. Pop by and knock on the door if you have time to experience a spring-scented wonderland, and pick up a small bouquet for…

DINNER PICNIC in hampton park

…a picnic! Nothing says spring like fresh fruit, beautiful flowers, and clinking a glass of rosé with your bestie. Enjoy the Spanish moss and toast to a day well-spent.
