For me, our core value of Philanthropy started with three simple words my stepfather Rob once spoke to me during his battle with brain cancer: “You Do Good.” He always taught me that the most important thing in life was to use your talents to better the lives of others. That is where my dedication to philanthropy really began, and philanthropy has now become a hallmark of the Kendra Scott culture.
At Kendra Scott, we abide by the mantra “What matters to you, matters to us.” Since the day I started this company in 2002, we have authentically valued giving back and making a positive difference in our community. We deeply care about our customers and the causes that matter most to them. We have a firm “never say no” policy.
From a local to a national scale, if someone comes to us with a cause they care about, we will find a way to contribute. We always have. It’s certainly not the easiest business model to follow, but Philanthropy has become an integral part of who we are. And the relationships we have built with our customers as a result are truly invaluable.
