To kick off 2018, we are thrilled to introduce Kendra Cares, a program that brings our Color Bar™ to pediatric hospitals across the nation, and three very special hospitals we have come to know and respect through this program.
A cancer diagnosis is never easy, but pediatric cancer is especially difficult. The Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) has led the world in developing new treatments for these rare (and often understudied) diseases and treats more children with cancer than any other institution—including centers that focus exclusively on pediatric patients.

We began our partnership with MSK in 2016, when we expanded our Kendra Cares Program across the country. We love the importance MSK has instilled in its care initiatives, like the Children’s Joy Fund, which finances a broad range of Child Life and Recreational Programs, including patient education, arts and crafts, holiday and birthday parties, and other activities.
But the key to treating patients effectively is research; advancements made at MSK have provided many more effective, less toxic treatments for children with cancer. We are honored to support MSK as they continue to search for a cure to children’s cancer.
This month, we are taking our partnership with MSK even further. Supporting their mission to create a healthy, cancer-free future for children around the world, we are honored to donate $50,000 to MSK. These funds will go to support the hospital’s Children’s Joy Fund, which gives kids the creative outlets and celebrations they may miss while they are in treatment, and their Immunogenetic Profiling of Pediatric Sarcomas, which is committed to identifying the proper immunotherapy treatments for patients with different types of cancer.
