To kick off 2018, we are thrilled to introduce Kendra Cares, a program that brings our Color Bar™ to pediatric hospitals across the nation, and three very special hospitals we have come to know and respect through this program.
The Kendra Cares Program began at MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, an institution close to Kendra’s heart. It was there, during a tour of the pediatric floor, that she was first inspired to bring the magic of the Color Bar™ by Kendra Scott to life in the hospital. What started as a dream became an opportunity for hundreds of young cancer patients and their caregivers to design a custom piece of jewelry, and give a sense of joy and normalcy to their lives.

MD Anderson was ranked by US News and World Report as the no. 1 hospital for cancer care in the country and is home to the largest cancer research program in the United States. MD Anderson’s Children’s Cancer Hospital sees more types of cancer than any other children’s hospital in Texas, and its oncologists treat more rare cancers in a single day than most physicians see in a lifetime. The institution’s sole mission is to end cancer for patients and their families around the world.
This month, we are taking our partnership with MD Anderson even further. Supporting their mission to create a healthy, cancer-free future for children around the world, we are honored to donate $50,000 to MD Anderson. These funds will go to support the hospital’s Osteosarcoma Research, which focuses on more effective, targeted treatments to boost survival rates, and their annual Summer Camps, which provides for over 200 patients and their siblings to have fun with no interruptions and specialized care.
