“The saying ‘opposites attract’ could not be more true for any two people! He’s as analytical as I am free spirited, but we seem to balance each other out. From me walking down the aisle to Unchained Melody in my grandmother’s dress to his Louisiana King Cake groom’s cake, our wedding truly highlighted us as individuals and as a couple. We loved celebrating all the wonderful festivities with our dear friends and family who traveled from (literally) all corners of the country!”
With an intro like that, we are thrilled to introduce you to KS Real Bride Hilary and her husband Kyle. Hilary is the Events Manger in our Denver store, and her wedding was oh so special!

What was the most important element of your wedding?
Music… And flowers!
Describe your wedding party’s look and jewelry:
Since the wedding was outdoors, I wanted my maids to feel natural and beautiful but still comfortable. I fell in love with these pewter-colored shift dresses with long bell sleeves and eyelash lace which are flattering on anyone. Each of my gals picked out their own Kendra Scott jewels to reflect their own unique style.
How did you pick out their jewels? Did you have a Color Bar party?
From Philly to Phoenix, my bridesmaids are truly all over the place! That said, I had them each pick out their top necklaces and earring choices on kendrascott.com, then I created them at the Kendra Scott store here in Denver.
Why did you choose to make Kendra Scott part of your wedding day?
Kendra’s designs are so stunning and versatile, plus at the attainable price point the jewelry is the perfect gift to give or receive. Each person I gave a Kendra Scott gift to, from our artsy baker to our feminine photographer, absolutely loved it and could tell it was chosen with their unique style in mind.
And…How did he ask?
After two years of long distance between Chicago & Houston, we decided to take a cross-country road trip while we figured out our next step together. During a hike around Phelps Lake in Grand Teton National Park, he brought me to an intimate little waterfall off the trail and took a knee. The rest is history!
