Wishing you a Spec-TACK-ular Holiday
Happy Friday everyone- Kendra here! In the spirit of the season, we had some fun at our corporate office this week, breaking out the tackiest holiday attire we could find and partaking in some yuletide festivities. My sales team decorated their office with ornaments and lights, while my merchandising team had fun creating gingerbread houses. Taking some time away at the office to enjoy some of the traditions of the holidays is a great way to relax during this merry, but sometimes hectic, time of year. Kendra on Breast Cancer
Happy Friday everyone – Kendra here! Today I want to discuss something that touches me and so many other women across the globe…breast cancer. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed at some point in their lives, and with an alarming statistic like that, it is so important to spread awareness about this devastating disease. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, 20% of the proceeds from our online SHOP Pink Collection this month will benefit Susan G. Komen Affiliate of Austin.

KS Catwalk at the 2012 Austin Fashion Awards
Happy Friday everyone – Kendra here! Each year, Austin Fashion Week concludes with the Austin Fashion Awards – a fabulous evening complete with the Golden Boot Awards ceremony and an incredible fashion show. Last year, I was so honored to take home the Golden Boot for People’s Choice “Best Jewelry Designer” and Industry’s Choice “Best Overall Designer.” This year, as a board member, it was such a privilege to watch one of my favorite fellow Austin designers, Ross Bennett, take home a Golden Boot for the “Rising Star” award. The most exciting part of the Austin Fashion Awards is the fashion show, and I had an absolute blast creating amazing, out-of-this-world pieces for the 2012 Austin Fashion Awards show.
