Straight out of Italian architecture comes the baroque trend. Embellished ensembles were everywhere on the fall 2012 runways from Alexander McQueen to Dolce & Gabana. This particular fall pick varies in color variety and texture. Baroque can be bright and bold like in Christopher Kane’s fall line or subtle like Giles Fall 2012 ready-to-wear pieces.
Bringing baroque back is not restricted to apparel. We have also seen this detailing in accessories like shoes, handbags and yes, jewelry! Our fall line was inspired by the swirling, feminine textures in baroque patterns.
If you follow our blog, you know we’ve been in love with the fur trend for quite some time now. This fabulous look will bring out your royal side. Incorporate a faux fur vest or collared coat into your fall wardrobe. Turn heads and evoke jealousies all while keeping warm! We love the pops of bright color accompanying the neutral shades in these furry fashion pieces.
We were inspired by the bold mix of red with neutral colors to create the Horizon color way this fall. Red and brown tigers eyes and carnelian are rich colors perfect for transitioning into cooler weather.
Military inspired looks marched down the runways in New York for designers like Elizabeth and James, Jason Wu and Derek Lam. Menswear has been huge the past few seasons and is back yet again this fall. Tailored jackets and suits all paired with tall boots stole the show. Remember our Neutrals + Neon post? Neutral tones in commanding officer outfits allow for mixing and matching pieces and colors throughout the season.
Clean, crisp lines and studded fabric from this season’s military trend inspired several pieces in the Kendra Scott fall line as well. Studded metal and angular stones bring the entire collection together.
