Happy Friday everyone - Kendra here! There are so many things to be excited about for fall 2012 fashion and I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of the exciting, new trends. In case you’re in need of a little guidance as you shop for your fall wardrobe, I’ve compiled a list of my top 15 staples so you can be prepared when you hit the mall!
{1} Something Baroque – I’m in love with the gorgeous baroque trend this fall. This heavy, detailed material looks fantastic as a mini skirt or dress, like this one from Vivienne Westwood.
{2} A Leather Dress - Leather was lighting up the Fall / Winter 2012 runways this year, especially in classic, edgy black. I love the unexpected feel of a feminine silhouette in this rocker-chic material, like this Rebecca Taylor dress.
{3} A Military Jacket - The military trend is back again and I am head over heels for the clean, sharp silhouette of this Ted Baker military jacket.
{4} Something Jade – Jade is one of my favorite colors this fall and this Kate Spade snakeskin satchel in the hue is to-die-for.
{5} Loafers – This preppy type of shoe is as comfortable as it is chic and I love them in this unexpected leopard print.
{6} A Peplum With Texture – The peplum trend is here to stay and I’m certainly not complaining! For fall, try a peplum in a textured fabric. While I don’t usually wear bright red, I absolutely love this adorable red peplum from Topshop and could see some of my gals at the office rocking it.
{7} Something Gray – Maybe Christian Gray had an effect on the fashion world too – gray was all over the runway this season, and I am so excited about introducing the new Cats Eye Slate stone in our Fall Collection, launching next Wednesday, August 22nd online and in-stores. The Leandra Statement Necklace is one of my faves!
{8} A Printed Suit – Menswear is back this year, and matching printed suits gave the look a feminine twist on the runway. While I may not be bold enough to rock a matching blazer and pant at the office just yet, this floral printed suit from Topshop and would be a fun as separates…and a tip of the hat to Prince in the 80′s.
{9} A Strappy Heel – The fall 2012 pump embraces strappy elements and a pointed heel. I am lusting after this gorgeous Valentino pair.
{10} Something Ballerina Pink – Edgy leather was complimented with soft, ballerina pink on the Fall / Winter 2012 runway, and I like the conflicting, unexpected mix. This Anne Klein watch would be the perfect accessory to balance a rocker-chic outfit.
{11} A Full Dress or Skirt – Dresses and skirts were in full force this year, complete with 50′s-style silhouettes and I can’t wait to add a full dress like this one from Romwe to my closet.
{12} A White Blazer – Whites for winter is trending this season and this crisp, sophisticated blazer from Topshop is the perfect way to wear it.
{13} Something Burgundy – Wine colored lips and fabrics heated up the Fall/ Winter 2012 runway and I love the rich, bold color. Try it in a structured pencil skirt like this one from Dorothy Perkins.
{14} Cat Eye Sunglasses – Cat eye is the new frame for sunglasses and I love the glamour of the 1950′s style sunnies, like these from Stella McCartney.
{15} Art Deco Embellishments – Many collections paid homage to the Art Deco era, and one way to rock the angular architectural elements of this trend is through gorgeous jewels, like the Dalton Earrings in our Fall 2012 Collection, launching in-stores and online Wednesday, August 22nd.
