When LA blogger, Sydne Summer, started rocking our jewels on her fabulous blog Sydne Style we were ecstatic! With her keen ability to pair bright + unexpected colors, textures and patterns together and her affinity for bold accessories, this gorgeous West Coast gal epitomizes the Kendra Scott style. One of our favorite aspects of Sydne’s blog is her Staples Series, where she takes one piece and shows several chic ways to wear it. The above photo was a part of a recent Staples Series and we absolutely love the tailored shorts suit and lace yellow blouse she topped off with our Adele Necklace in Peach and a mix of our gold bangles.

You may have seen Sydne featured as inspiration for our mint + coral and peplum posts, but she has endless amounts of looks that we adore. Check out a few more of our favorite looks that Sydne has recently rocked on her blog and you’ll see why she’s our blogger we love!

Read on to find out style and beauty secrets from Sydne herself…
1. How did Sydne Style get started?
I started my website as a way to inspire women to think outside the box when it came to getting dressed. I always got questions about how to wear things, whether it was a trendy dress someone just bought or a skirt they’ve had forever and were bored wearing the same way over and over. So, I began the Staples Series which shows one fashion item styled various ways. It’s now a weekly series, and I do trend reports and offer styling advice through my Ask Sydne section as well.
2. What are your sources of inspiration?
Everything! Sometimes it’s the editorials in fashion magazines, other times it’s my fellow bloggers or a catalogue I receive in the mail. And sometimes it’s simply nature. I’ll find myself being drawn to a bright pink rose and the next day I put together and green and pink colorblock outfit.
3. What is your favorite trend for summer?
Neon! I’m originally from Miami so I adore anything bright. I’ve also been bitten by the peplum bug. I can’t stop purchasing the trend!
4. Your top three favorite spots to grab a bite to eat in LA?
For lunch I love Lemonade. I get an assortment of their delicious salads and, of course, a fresh squeezed lemonade. For weekend brunch, I like Quality. It’s not as trendy as others on the street so you don’t have to wait as long for eggs benedict served on freshly made biscuits. And for dinner, I’m all about sushi. Sugar Fish has been a recent fave. Their fish is so fresh it melts in your mouth.
5. We recently saw you on an episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, how was that experience?
It was a blast! I often do fashion segments for FOX 5 San Diego and have worked with Alexis Bellino before. That day, we were shooting at the gorgeous La Costa Spa and Bravo was also filming for Housewives.
6. On your blog, you have a great feature called the Staples Series…what is your most coveted staple?
A pencil skirt. It’s my go-to whenever I have a meeting. You can wear it with a blouse and heels for a more conservative look or a tee, statement necklace and sandals for a more casual environment. I think every woman should own at least one.
7. Besides sharing your style expertise, what is something you do for fun?
I love spending time with my dog, Bunny. I rescued her about four years ago and it’s always fun shopping with her or taking her to brunch with friends.
8. We love your long locks, what’s your styling secret?
I try to blowdry my hair as little as possible, which really helps prevent damage. I’ll usually air-dry it then just curl then ends quickly before going out. I’ve also been visiting the same hairstylist since I was 16! Sean at Juan Juan Salon helps me have low-maintenance hair that is manageable but still beautiful.
9. Your go-to nail color of the season?
Essie Fear or Desire. It’s a bright orange that looks gorgeous with a tan and also is great for nail art! I recently created a colorblock mani with half orange, half pink and a stripe of glitter down the middle.
10. One thing on your summer bucket list…
Vacation! I haven’t been on relaxing vacation in forever so I’m thrilled to go to Hawaii with my boyfriend this month. My goal is to spend at least one full day without checking my email/Twitter/Instagram/etc. Sometimes, you just need a break in a bikini.
