Blogger We Love: Luella & June

Last month, after Dallas natives Alison Gross and Bradley Agather interviewed Kendra, we had to chat with this adorable duo of Luella & June ourselves.  Not only are these Texas sweethearts totally gorgeous, but they also have an eye for all things fashion.  Today they tell us what every girl should have in their closet for spring, the number one item on their shopping list and, of course, their current celebrity crushes.  Meet Alison and Bradley…

{1} What is Luella & June?

 Bradley:  Luella & June is a lifestyle blog focusing on everything from fashion to interior design.  It’s a place for me to share my latest discoveries and shopping favorites.  And, most of all, it’s the best part of my day.

 {2} Describe your personal style: 

 Bradley:  It’s a mixture of classic, feminine and a bit edgy.  I love a surprise element.  I’ll pair a super classic striped tee with a printed neon skirt, or a jean jacket with a gown.

 Alison:  Feminine, tailored, and bright.

{3} Three fashion staples every girl should have for spring:

Bradley:  A pair of white jeans (and a colored pair, too!),  a classic bag in a bright hue and a statement necklace you can throw on with a simple white tee.

Alison:  For everyday wear, I think a neutral wedge is a must.  I also love the printed denim trend.  There are a lot more patterns to come and I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair!  Color-wise, mint pieces are great for spring.

{4} If we peeked through your purse, we would find:

Bradley:  My iPhone, my iPad, a Graphic Image notebook for jotting down blog post ideas and to-do lists, Aquaphor, NARS lipstick in Barbarella, and a fun-size package of Sour Patch Kids for my daily candy fix.

Alison:  A NYT crossword puzzle, nail polish (Essie’s “Cute As A Button”), my favorite foldable Ray Ban sunnies, loose post-it notes, a number of pink lipsticks and hopefully a cell phone.  I always seem to leave home without it!

{5} Your ideal girl’s night out:

Bradley:  A Saturday night dinner at Parigi – one of my favorite Dallas restaurants – followed by drinks at The Mansion Bar.

Alison:  Having dinner with a few friends at Coal Vines—my very favorite pizza place in Dallas—and going to a cozy wine bar after.

{6} Number one item on your fashion wish list:

Bradley:  The entire Carven S/S collection.  Every.  Single.  Thing.

Alison:  I just ordered the Kendra Scott Kat Earrings in Yellow, and I cannot wait to wear them.  I’m obsessed with all of her statement earrings!

{7} If you could switch shoes with someone for a day, it would be…

Bradley:  Taylor Tomasi Hill.  Literally.  Her shoe collection is killer.  I’d make the shoe switch with her in a heartbeat.

Alison:  If I could do anything for a day I would spend it owning a vineyard. Karen Cakebreads’ (of Cakebread Cellars) story about following in her father’s vintner footsteps is impressive, and I would love to peek into her daily routine.

{8} Favorite way to de-stress after a long day:

 Bradley:  A glass of red wine out on the patio.

Alison:  Going for a walk around the neighborhood always helps!

{9} Celebrity crush & what you’d say to him if you saw him walking on the street:

Bradley:  Dylan McKay.  I’m a Beverly Hills 90210 addict, what can I say?—We’d talk about how glad he is that he chose me over Kelly and Brenda.

Alison:  Ryan Gosling—I’d probably pretend to be lost and ask for directions!

{10} What does the future have in store for Luella & June?

Bradley:  Lots of good things to come!  I’m headed to Santa Barbara at the end of this month for the Lucky FABB conference. I’m so excited to get a chance to meet some of my favorite bloggers.  I’ve got a new interview series coming up that I think the readers will definitely enjoy.  The future is bright!

Alison:  Hopefully partnering with stores and bloggers on events, and meeting the readers face-to-face.
