Blogger We Love – Brighton The Day

Pin ItShe’s adorable, petite, and not to mention, incredibly smart.  This University of Texas CPA student may be new on the blogosphere, but she’s certainly causing a stir with her colorful ensembles and impeccable style.  We had the priveledge of sitting down with this Baton Rouge beauty to get a little insight on her latest fashion endeavor, and our newest obsession…Brighton The Day!

{1} What is Brighton The Day?  Brighton The Day is a personal style blog about fashion, life, and other randoms, with an underlying objective of promoting Dee Keller Designs.  All in all, this blog serves as a creative outlet that allows me to express my creativity, style, and passions amidst the structure and routine of everyday life.

{2} Where do you find fashion inspiration?  To be honest, I find my fashion inspiration from the way I’m feeling when I’m getting dressed up.  You can tell a lot about how I’m doing or what mood I’m in by what I have on!

{3} Favorite trend for spring:  Pastels!

{4} If we looked through your purse, we would find . . .  Lots of lip gloss, a couple pounds of candy, iPod & earphones, goldfish for snack, pens & pencils, my planner, my to-do list, and sunglasses.

{5} Favorite item in your closet:  My black, J. Brand skinny jeans.

{6} Creativity runs in the family, what’s it like having a talented & creative designer mother?  It’s so much fun!  I absolutely love helping my mom design shoes!  She is such a talented woman, so I feel so privileged to get to work with her!

{7} Something most people don’t know about you . . .  I JUST got into fashion about 2 months ago…when I started the blog.  I am studying to become a CPA and start working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in January.  I’m a total nerd!

{8} Favorite trend of the moment?  I’m glad that brights are considered “in” because they are always “trending” in my book/closet!

{9} How do you balance school with all of the amazing blogging you’re doing?  Whew!  What a great question!  I will admit that it is really difficult.  The blog can be so much fun and sometimes addicting, but I have to put school first.  I usualy spend about 6 hours a day doing school, and I set weekly goals for myself to help stay on track!  I make my own syllabus so that I can better manage my time.

{10} What’s on the horizon for Brighton The Day?  Hmmm that’s a hard question!  Brighton The Day is definitely just a hobby for me, so I don’t really have a business plan or anything like that. It has been growing exponentially since I started it in December, so I hope that the blog will continue to grow.  I recently partnered with 2 local boutiques that are going to gift me several clothes a week to wear on the blog! I’m very excited to work with them because I will have access to many more styles and clothes!
