Is it just us, or does the holiday creativity get better year after year? Of course, blazing the trail in innovative Halloween food is, none other than, Martha Stewart… and it goes without saying that we’re totally on board. Earlier this month we checked out her gallery of ghoulish treats and were practically floored, asking ‘why didn’t I think of that‘ with each passing recipe. Using the right colors & textures, our favorite snacks get turned up a few creepy notches, making for some perfectly petrifying dishes. Our favorite? Undoubtedly the spiderweb eggs, which get their lattice look by adding blueberries to the water as eggs boil (like we said… genius). We also can’t wait to try out the sweet bone meringues, while the sinister salsa is practically a staple here in Texas, and a crafty marshmallow-ghost cake is a must-try with the kids. We’d love to know what tricks (or treats) you have up your sleeves for creating hauntingly delicious snacks… but then again, when in doubt, just go with candy!
